Tragedy Strikes Rajasthan School: Roof Collapse Kills 5 Students, Several Injured
Jhalawar, Rajasthan: In a heart-wrenching incident, at least five Class 7 students lost their lives and several others were injured after the roof of a government primary school collapsed in Piplodi village, Manoharthana area, on Friday morning. The collapse occurred shortly after morning prayers, trapping around 25 to 30 students under the debris.
Locals and school staff rushed to rescue the students, with critically injured children being shifted to Manoharthana Hospital. Eleven students in critical condition were later referred to the district hospital in Jhalawar for advanced treatment.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Droupadi Murmu, and Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma expressed deep sorrow over the tragedy. Rescue operations are ongoing, with emergency personnel ensuring no one remains trapped.
Education Minister Madan Dilawar confirmed the incident and assured that authorities are providing all necessary assistance. The government has promised the best medical care for the injured.
