Shri Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju Sworn In as Governor of Goa
Panaji : Shri Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju was sworn in as the Governor of Goa today in a solemn oath-taking ceremony held at the New Durbar Hall, Raj Bhavan, Dona Paula.
The oath of office was administered by Hon’ble Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court (Goa Bench), Shri Alok Aradhe.
The ceremony witnessed the presence of several dignitaries, including Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, Union Minister of Civil Aviation Shri Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu, Union Minister of State for Power and New & Renewable Energy Shri Shripad Naik, Rajya Sabha MP Shri Sadanand Shet Tanavade, Speaker of the Goa Legislative Assembly Shri Ramesh Tawadkar, Council of Ministers, MLAs, Leader of Opposition Shri Yuri Alemao, Chief Secretary Dr. V. Candavelou, IAS, and other senior government officials.
A ceremonial Guard of Honour was presented to the new Governor at the entrance of the New Durbar Hall, marking the formal commencement of his tenure.
Shri Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju brings with him vast administrative and legislative experience and is expected to contribute significantly to the development and governance of the state.
