Take up farming as an occupation in order to make the candolim Village self- sufficient : MLA Michael Lobo
Calangute MLA Michael Lobo has urged the people of his constituency to take up farming as an occupation in order to make the village self- sufficient .
Lobo was addressing the people from candolim during the tree sapling plantation drive at Candolim
“There is need for people to concentrate on farming and grow paddy in their fields and if people grow paddy in their fields it will make us self-sufficient said lobo
Speaking further lobo said that even our ancestors were involved in farming and Calangute has fertile land and any kind of crop can be grown here. More and more people should move towards farming and make Calangute more greener place
We also encourage more people especially the youth towards farming, the Candolim Panchayat in coordination with Zonal Agriculture Bardez will also take the initiative to distribute free seeds, manure inoder to encourage the youth to come forward and do farming.
