Diwali Akash Kandil Competition by CEO Promotes Special Summary Revision.
The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer as part of the SVEEP initiative, organized an eco-friendly Akash Kandil competition focused on an election theme to celebrate Diwali and promote awareness for the Special Summary Revision 2025 dates at Altinho today.
About 10 participants took part in the competition. Each participant’s Akash Kandil lit up with messages like “My Vote, My Power” “No Voter Left Behind, My vote is my future, Vote for better India, It is responsibility not just right etc.
First place went to Shri Payak Padkar from Canacona, second place to Shri Mahesh Kadji from Pernem, and third place to Shri Prajit Verenkar from Tiswadi. The Consolation prizes were awarded to Kavita Palkar from Tiswadi and Shri Elton D’Silva from Salcete.
A certificate, awards and cash prizes were presented by Shri Sunil P. Masurkar, Additional Chief Electoral Officer, and Smt. Triveni Velip, Joint CEO to the winners.
The competition was judged by Shri Anand Kauthankar, Assistant Director Culture,Shri Pritam Naik, Cultural Organiser,Shri Santosh Shetkari, Theatre Art Teacher.
Special voter registration camps will be held on November 9, 10, 23, and 24, 2024. Voter registration is open from October 29 to November 11, 2024.
