Calangute, Goa – In a significant move to enhance the quality of life for residents in Parra village, MLA Michael Lobo has initiated the construction of a new footpath and storm water drain near Braganza Apartments at Bhatti Vaddo. The project, funded by MPLAD funds, aims to provide a safer and more convenient walking experience for pedestrians, while mitigating flooding issues in the area.

“Sarpanch and panch members are only interested in construction files, neglecting people’s needs,” MLA Michael Lobo criticized. “Panchayat funds remain unutilized, hindering development. Transparency and accountability are crucial in utilizing funds for village development.”

“Continuous follow-ups are essential to ensure project completion and effective utilization of MLA funds,” Parra deputy sarpanch Daniel Lobo emphasized. The project is valued at ₹16.53 lakhs.
