GOA WELCOMES FIRST CHARTER FLIGHT OF THE SEASON FROM UK
292 Tourists Receive Warm Welcome at MOPA Airport
Panaji, Goa – November 4, 2024 Goa Tourism kick-started the new tourist season with a warm welcome to 292 travelers who arrived on the season’s first charter flight from the United Kingdom at Mopa International Airport (MOPA) yesterday.
As the flight touched down, tourists were greeted with rose buds, creating an inviting atmosphere that set the tone for a memorable stay in the coastal state. The traditional Goan welcome, complete with tilak and floral garlands, added to the festive ambiance.
“We are thrilled to welcome our first charter flight from the UK, marking the beginning of a promising tourist season. This influx of international tourists will boost Goa’s economy and showcase our rich cultural heritage.”
Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) Chairman added:
“Our focus is on providing a seamless and enjoyable experience for our visitors. We have lined up exciting events and activities to make this season unforgettable.”
The charter flight, is expected to bring in more tourists from the UK over the next few months.
The highlights of this years Tourist Season will be Cultural events and festivals with Water sports and adventure activities and also Food festivals showcasing Goan cuisine and Heritage walks and sightseeing tours
Goa Tourism is confident that this season will see a significant increase in international tourist arrivals, contributing to the state’s economic growth.
