ROAD ACCIDENT STATISTICS FOR SEPTEMBER 2024.
The Directorate of Transport has compiled their monthly report of number of accidents that occurred and number of Challans issued for the month of September 2024. As per the report, there were 195 road accidents of which 15 were Fatal Accidents (North Goa –10 and South Goa – 5), 11 Grievous Accidents (North Goa–6 and South Goa – 5), 25 Minor Accidents (North Goa – 13 and South Goa–12) and 144 Non – Injury Accidents (North Goa – 80 and South Goa –64).
The total number of persons who lost their lives in road accidents were 18 (North Goa – 13 and South Goa – 05), 13 people were Grievously Injured (North – 08 and South –5) while 34 persons suffered Minor Injuries (North – 18, South – 16).
Of those who lost their lives 10 were Riders (North Goa – 07 and South Goa – 03), 06 P/Riders (North Goa – 04 and South Goa – 02), 1 is a Driver (North Goa) and1Pedestrian (North Goa).
A total 12392 Challans were issued by Transport authorities in the month of September 2024.
