Fire Breaks Out at Mahesh Mandrekar’s Residence in Bhatwadi, Korgao
Korgao, April 23: A fire broke out around 6:15 PM today at the residence of Mahesh Mandrekar in Bhatwadi, Korgao. According to Mandrekar, the incident occurred shortly after the electricity supply resumed, reportedly due to a short circuit at the rear side of the house.
The fire caused significant damage to household items and property, with an estimated loss ranging between ₹1.5 to ₹2 lakh. Fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported.
Pernem Fire Department personnel promptly arrived at the scene and managed to bring the blaze under control, preventing further damage. Local residents also assisted in the efforts.
Authorities are currently investigating the exact cause of the fire.
