Colvale police has rounded off around 97 males who were residing in the locality on rent without proper documentation. This drive was carried out to curb the theft cases within the jurisdiction.
according to Colvale police on 23/05/2024 early in the morning hours a combing operation was carried out at Lala ki basti, Thivim and Madel, Thivim under the leadership of Shri Vijay V. Rane, Police Inspector Colvale Police Station and staff consisting of PSI Subhash Gaonkar, PSI Prakash Ghadi, PSI Ramchandra Satelkar, PSI Sunny Kanekar, HC 4435 Anil Pilgaonkar, HC 5777 Pandurang Naik, PC 6449 Sandip Malik, PC 7716 Rameshwar Gawas, PC 7377 Sarvesh Kalangutkar, PC 7268 Rajesh Gawas, PC 7568 Prasad Naik, PC 8115 Zico Vaz, PC 7584 Sainath Dhuri, PC 8877 Rushikesh Kamat, PC 7341 Praveen Patil, PC 7512 Nikhil Naik, PC 9059 Sameer Naik, LPC 8484 Ankita Gadekar, LPC 8565 Shamal Chari, HG Ritesh Gawas, HG Laxmikant Kauthankar & LHG Anvi Sawant all of Colvale Police Station and

Tenant verification forms of the above persons are also not submitted by their house owner. As such all the 96 persons have been placed under arrest u/s 41 Cr.P.C. after observing all SC guidelines.
