Dead body of a man found in Saligao on Sunday.
The body of a young man, Satish Sitharaman (23, native of Tamil Nadu), was found suspiciously in the bushes by the roadside on the Saligao Plateau. The cause of death will be known later after the post-mortem on Monday.
This incident came to light on Sunday 2:30 pm. The dead body was found in bushes on the roadside in Saligao Plateau area near Pilerne Industrial Estate.
As soon as the incident was reported, the police under the leadership of Salgao Police Inspector Somnath Majik visited the spot and conducted a panchnama. A packet was found in the pant pocket of the deceased. The said packet contained identification documents of Satish. The police verified these identity cards and the police confirmed that the dead person was Satish. The dead body has been sent to GMC for post-mortem.
