Calangute police arrested one person in possession of narcotic drugs worth rs 46,000
According to Calangute police On 08.06.2024 a raid was conducted near Dolphin Circle, Naikawado, Calangute, Bardez-Goa, wherein Calangute Police team comprising of PSI Akshay Parsekar, PC-7917 Gaurish Karbotkar, PC-7283 Shri Raj Parab, PC-6118 Amir Garad and PC-6008 Shri Manoj Naik during which accused John @ Joao Antonio Lopez S/o Jeremino Lopez, age 53 years r/o H.No. 5/75, Maddavaddo Calangute Bardez Goa was found in illegal possession of narcotic drugs Heroin weighing 4.6 grams worth Rs. 46,000/- approximately. Credible information was received by Calangute Police from the sources that one male person will be coming to deliver narcotic drugs to his prospective customers. Accordingly a raid was conducted in presence of panchas and above narcotic drugs was seized.A complaint regarding illegal possession of narcotic drugs was filed by PSI Shri. Akshay Parsekar of Calangute P.S. following which PSI Vishwajit Dhavlikar has registered an offence under the provisions of NDPS Act, 1985. Further investigation is in progress under the Supervision of PI Shri. Paresh Naik of Calangute Police Station with overall Supervision of SDPO Porvorim, Shri Vishwesh Karpe and SP North, Shri.
