Tree fall incidents in Bardez keep fire personnel on toes
Mapusa: Continuous heavy rains disrupted normal life in bardez and surrounding areas on Sunday as some incidents of tree collapses were witnessed at various places resulting in losses. A small part of the roof
On Sunday the Mapusa fire station received many emergency calls pertaining to tree collapse incidents from different parts of bardez namely At sodiem siolim near O papagio At sirsaim near sesa Goa ground and At chapora near church In majority of cases, the trees fell either on roads or on electricity lines.
A huge Mango tree fell on the road and electrical wire near Holy cross school , Gausawada at Siolim. However Some areas also witnessed power failures for a short duration which was restored by the electricity staff.
