FDA WARNS UNAUTHORIZED COMMERCIALIZATION OF HUMAN MILK
Directorate of Food and Drugs Administration has informed Food Business Operators to kindly note that, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has not permitted the processing and /or selling of human milk under the FSS Act, 2006 and Rules and Regulations made thereunder.
All such activities related to the commercialization of human milk and its products should be immediately stopped.
Any violation may result in initiation of action against the
Food Business Operator FBO(s) in accordance with FSS Act,
Rules and Regulations.
These are the directives by FSSAI and communicated by FDA Goa for information
