On the auspicious occasion of Diwali festival of lights Parra citizens forum will be organising the 10 th edition of worlds biggest All Goa Akash kandil competition
The competition will be held on 30th October 2024 from 10.30 am onwards at Jackni vaddo(Parra Tinto) opposite Polyclinic Parra

RULES FOR THE COMPETITION:
• Entry Free (Aadhaar Card compulsory as proof of address).
• Token will be issued at registration center for permissible entry.
•The same should be presented back to the organisers for picking up the Aakash Kandil after the competition is over.
• Akash Kandil has to be traditional and handmade.
• Avoid use of thermocal or plastic.
• Strictly one entry per household.
• Electrical points will be provided for hanging Aakash Kandil. Make sure your Akash Kandil.has strings tied on the top to hang it for display.
•The Akash Kandil should be retained till the prize distribution.
•The Committee reserves the right to accept or reject the entry.
•The Organising Committee is not responsible for any THEFT/MISSING of Akash Kandil
• The prizes should be collected on the same day.
• The decision of judges will be final.
• Every participant will get a token of Love and Appreciation.
Michael Lobo appealed to all goans hindu, Christian, Muslims and sikhs to participate in this competition and also appealed to the participants to use organic material.
