DEPARTMENT OF HOME URGES PRIVATE SECURITY AGENCIES TO REGISTER ONLINE
Panaji: The Department of Home has urged all private security agencies operating in Goa to complete their mandatory registration on the official portal www.psara.gov.in under the Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Act, 2005 (PSARA 2005).
Any private security agency operating without proper registration with the Home Department will be subject to penalties, including a fine of ₹25,000, imprisonment of up to one year, or both.
The Department has also advised all establishments in Goa to hire security guards only from registered private security agencies that hold a valid PSARA 2005 license issued by the Goa State authorities.
For verification, the list of registered private security agencies is available on the PSARA portal under the “Know Your Agency” section.
