Minister Mauvin Godinho Lays Foundation Stone for New Panchayat in Chicolna Bogmalo
Bogmalo : Minister for Panchayati Raj, Shri Mauvin Godinho, laid the foundation stone for the new Panchayat Ghar and Community Hall in Village Panchayat Chicolna Bogmalo under the Deendayal Panchayati Raj Infrastructure Development Scheme.
This state-of-the-art facility aims to enhance governance and public services in the village. The new Panchayat Ghar will be equipped with modern amenities, including lift access for convenience, a post office, a bank, government offices, a gym for youth fitness, training centers, and more, ensuring holistic development for the local community.
The event was graced by the presence of Shri Prasiddh Prakash Naik (Deputy Director of Panchayat, South Goa), Shri Emanuel A. S. Da Costa (BDO, Mormugao), Shri Jagannath Narayan Mahale (Sarpanch, VP Chicolna Bogmalo), Smt. Lorena Perpetua Cunha (Deputy Sarpanch, VP Chicolna Bogmalo), along with other panchayat members and dignitaries.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Mauvin Godinho emphasized the government’s commitment to strengthening local administration and fostering community development. He highlighted that the new infrastructure would provide better facilities and services, empowering the Panchayat to serve the people more efficiently.
The upcoming Panchayat Ghar and Community Hall mark a significant step towards modernizing local governance and improving public amenities, ensuring a better quality of life for the residents of Chicolna Bogmalo.
