Villagers of Betul Meet CM Dr. Pramod Sawant to Demand Crematorium Land Retrieval
Panaji : A large delegation of villagers from Betul, accompanied by concerned citizens and local leaders, met Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant to press for the retrieval of land originally earmarked for a crematorium. The land, villagers alleged, was haphazardly used for constructing the Panchayat Ghar without due planning or consultation.
The delegation highlighted the urgent need for a proper cremation facility and expressed their collective distress over the issue. Responding to their concerns, CM Dr. Sawant assured the villagers that the matter would be treated as a priority and resolved at the earliest.
The meeting marked a strong show of unity by the Betul community in seeking justice for their civic needs.
