RUN FOR VOTE & E-RICK RALLY HELD TO RAISE AWARENESS & LARGE TURNOUT
The Office of the Chief Electoral Office,Goa organised a Run for Vote rally and E-Rickshaw Rally today from Miramar circle to the Goa Science Centre in the city, aiming to raise awareness and encourage a large turnout for voting on May 7th, 2024. The event witnessed participation from CEO officials, staff, persons with disabilities, and election icons.
During the event, CEO Ramesh Varma, IAS emphasized the importance of casting votes on May 7th, aiming to surpass the previous voting turnout of 75 percent. He stressed that every vote counts and urged people to vote and support the nation.
Joint CEO Smt. Triveni Velip also encouraged citizens to come forward and exercise their right to vote.
Participating with enthusiasm in the Run for Vote rally, Taha Haziq, Secretary of Commission for Persons with Disability, Goa and State icon for Person with Disability expressed his satisfaction with the comprehensive inclusivity of the upcoming voting process. He called upon all to utilize the available facilities and turn out to vote in large numbers.
Shri Sudesh N. Gaude, Nodal Officer for Accessible Election highlighted the use of e-rickshaws to accommodate wheelchair-bound Persons with Disabilities at the rally. He further urged the voters with disabilities to come forward and cast their votes.
