Calangute police arrested one person in possession of Drugs worth rs 80,000 approx.
According to calangute police On 11.07.2024, Calangute Police conducted a narcotic raid near Palmarinha Resort, Porbowado Calangute Bardez Goa, during which accused Sanjoy Suklabaidya s/o Shibu Suklabaidya, age 27 years r/o n/o Malugram Silchar Town War No. 1 Mela Road, Cachar Assam was found in illegal possession of greenish colour leafy substance with fruiting tops suspected to be ganja weighing 805 grams worth Rs. 80,000/- approximately.
Credible information was received by Calangute Police Station from the sources that one male person will be coming to deliver narcotic/psychotropic drugs to his prospective customers with his scooter bearing Reg. No. GA-03-AE-6523 make Yamaha Fascino. Accordingly a raid was conducted in presence of panchas and above narcotic drugs was seized.
Raid was conducted by the team comprising of PSI Prajit Mandrekar, HC-4936 Vidhyanand Amonkar, PC-6118 Amir Garad and PC-7904 Pranay Gawas all of Calangute Police Station.
A complaint regarding illegal possession of narcotic drugs was filed by PSI Prajit Mandrekar of Calangute P.S. upon which PSI Shri. Dinesh Kanolkar has registered an offence under the provisions of NDPS Act, 1985.
