Prohibitory Orders Imposed During Assembly Session

North Goa District Magistrate has imposed prohibitory orders on February 6 and 7, 2025, during the ongoing session of the Goa Legislative Assembly. The restrictions will be enforced within a 500-meter radius of the Assembly complex in Porvorim and the jurisdiction of the Panaji Police Station.

As per the order, gathering of five or more persons, processions, demonstrations, and rallies are strictly prohibited. Carrying weapons such as firearms, sticks, swords, knives, or any sharp objects is banned. The use of loudspeakers, chanting slogans, and playing provocative music are also restricted.

However, exemptions will be granted to government officials on duty, weddings, funerals, or other private functions with prior written permission from the District Magistrate, Additional District Magistrate, or Sub-Divisional Magistrate.

The order will come into effect from 10:00 AM on February 6, 2025, and will remain in force until the conclusion of the Assembly session.
