Goa Government Distributes 290 Digital Hearing Aids to Elderly Beneficiaries

Panaji: Ensuring the well-being of senior citizens remains a key priority for the state government, and in a significant step towards enhancing healthcare services for the elderly, Health Minister Vishwajeet Rane has announced the availability of 290 digital programmable hearing aids for eligible beneficiaries at North Goa and South Goa District Hospitals.

This initiative aims to improve the quality of life for elderly Goans by providing them with state-of-the-art hearing assistance technology. These advanced hearing aids offer enhanced clarity and adaptability to different sound environments, ensuring better communication and overall well-being.

Minister Rane expressed gratitude to Dmello Telepower Pvt. Ltd. for their generous contribution in supporting this initiative. Additionally, to ensure effective implementation, comprehensive training has been provided to ENT surgeons and audiologists from Goa Medical College and both district hospitals. This training will help in delivering optimal care and ensuring that beneficiaries receive the best possible support.

With this initiative, the state government continues to strengthen healthcare services under the Goa Model, focusing on accessibility, quality, and innovation in elderly care.
