Minister Vishwajeet Rane Inaugurates Natural Grass Football Turf in Massordem, Valpoi
Valpoi : In a major boost to sports infrastructure in Goa, Minister Vishwajeet Rane inaugurated a natural grass football turf at Massordem, Valpoi, today. The facility aims to promote sports at the grassroots level and provide world-class amenities to budding athletes.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Rane emphasized the importance of strengthening sports infrastructure to nurture local talent and encourage a culture of sportsmanship. “This initiative is a step forward in ensuring that young athletes have access to the best resources. We are committed to developing top-tier sports facilities across the state,” he said.
He expressed gratitude to the Goa State Urban Development Agency (GSUDA) and the Valpoi Municipal Council for their dedication in bringing the project to fruition.
The event was graced by Dr. Deviya Rane, MLA of Poriem Constituency & Chairman of Goa Forest Development Corporation, along with Smt. Prassanna P. Gawas, Chairperson of the Valpoi Municipal Council; Shri Ramdas Shirodkar, Vice Chairperson of the Valpoi Municipal Council; Shri Brijesh Manerkar, Director of Urban Development & Member Secretary, GSUDA; councillors, and officials from GSUDA and the Valpoi Municipal Council.
The newly inaugurated football turf is expected to significantly benefit aspiring footballers in the region, providing them with quality infrastructure to hone their skills and compete at higher levels.
