₹2 Crore Allocated for Fisheries Infrastructure in Arambol Under Central Scheme: MLA Jit Arolkar
Arambol: Under the Central Government scheme, ₹2 crore has been sanctioned for the development of fisheries infrastructure in Arambol, announced MLA Jit Arolkar. The funds will support key initiatives, including the construction of a fish market, a toilet block, installation of high mast and solar lighting, emergency rescue facilities, an ice-making machine, a solar fish dryer, a weather station with an LED display, and stock enhancement through sea ranching.

MLA Arolkar emphasized that this investment will significantly enhance the safety, sustainability, and efficiency of the local fishing sector. He expressed gratitude to Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, Fisheries Minister Nilkanth Halarnkar, and Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte for their support in strengthening fisheries infrastructure in the region.
The initiative aims to provide better facilities for the fishing community, ensuring improved working conditions and sustainability for the sector in Arambol.
