NSUI Goa Condemns DoE Circular, Demands Immediate Withdrawal
The NSUI Goa has strongly condemned the circular issued by the Directorate of Education (DoE), alleging it promotes a political agenda in schools under the guise of education on the Emergency period. NSUI Goa Chief Naushad stated, “Schools should remain neutral spaces. This circular forces BJP’s political ideology on children they are students, not RSS karyakartas.”
Naushad criticized the government for ignoring real issues like job scams, destruction of Mhadei, land conversions, collapse of law and order, and deterioration of education. “Let students write essays on these acts of ‘hathya’ (murders) of democracy,” he said.
NSUI National General Secretary Ahraz Mulla said they met DoE officials who admitted the circular was released without stakeholder consultation. “The official must be sacked,” he said, warning of protests at the Chief Minister’s residence if the circular is not withdrawn.
State leaders Shane Rebelo, Kumar Gauli, and Maithily Chumbalkar echoed the demand, urging the government to focus on Ambedkar’s constitutional legacy, skill development, and infrastructure not political propaganda.
