Guru Pournima Celebrated with Devotion in Navelim Constituency
Navelim : Guru Pournima was celebrated with great reverence and enthusiasm at Shushu Vikas High School and several other venues across the Navelim constituency. The event highlighted the significance of teachers and mentors in shaping society.
On this auspicious occasion, Navelim MLA Shri Ulhas Tuenkar felicitated prominent ‘gurus’ from the constituency, honouring their contribution to education and social development. Among the honoured were school teachers Smt. Beena Lotlikar and Smt. Bharati Toraskar, and renowned yoga instructor Shri Ganapati Mangeshkar. They were presented with tokens of love and respect at the hands of the MLA.
The program was held in the esteemed presence of BJP Navelim Mandal President Shri Vijay Surme, General Secretaries Shri Deepak Sawant and Shri Pramod Prabhu, Mahila Morcha President Smt. Madhukala Shirodkar, as well as Shri Kapil Sardesai, Shri Dinesh Mahale, Smt. Deepa Kamat, and Shri Rajesh Tuenkar.
The celebration reinforced the timeless value of the Guru-Shishya tradition and acknowledged the pivotal role teachers play in nurturing future generations.
