Proposed Kajumal – Tatodi Dam at Dharbandora in Sanvordem Constituency.
Govt of Goa and Department of Water Resources are on drive to increase availability and conservation of raw water by identifying new Sites for Dam and increase the water storage in the State.
Today the people of Dharbandora whose land will be submerged in Dam area gave their willingness to have Kajumal – Tatodi Dam in the areas where there is plenty of rains and water.
Shri Rajendra Naik has given maximum land for the Dam and provided all the courtesy to hold the meeting at his Rasraj Farms a fully organic produce farm.
About forty people having land holding were present for the meeting conducted by Shri Subhash A Shirodkar Hon.Minister for WRD and Dr Ganesh Gaonkar, Hon MLA and Chairman of Goa Tourism Development Corporation.
Shri Dilip Naik , SE WRD ,Shri Lilesh Khandeparker EE , WRD and Shri Damodar Prabhu Desai AE , WRD were present to explain and answer the queries.
Hon. Minister assured the affected people to give all help to solve their greivances including poviding housing, construction of retaining walls, small bunds etc in the affected areas. The strategic plan was prepared to see that all the people having interest in the Land should be get maximum compensation and relief from Govt on completion of procedures and formalities required.
It is proposed to complete the Dam by Dec 2025 with the Cooperation of all the stake holders.
