Calangute police arrested one person in illegal possession of narcotic drugs Ganja weighing 439 grams worth Rs. 43,900
According to calangute police on early morning raid conducted at Naikawado, Calangute-Goa, Calangute Police Station team comprising of PSI Vishwajit Dhavalikar, PC- 6958 Suresh Naik, PC-6418 Mayur Gawde, PC-7151 Nitesh Salgaonkar and PC-7917 Gaurish Karbotkar during which accused Suhas S. S/o Sudindra Kumar, age 31 years, R/o Opp. Santo Anna Holiday Homes, Naikwado, Calangute-Goa and native of Karnataka was found in illegal possession of narcotic drugs Ganja weighing 439 grams worth Rs. 43,900/- approximately.
Credible information was received by Calangute Police Station from the sources that one male person will be coming to deliver narcotic drugs to his prospective customers and is likely to leave the place after disposing off said contraband. Accordingly a raid was conducted in presence of panchas and above narcotic drugs was seized.
The accused person is being remanded to Police Custody in-order to find out the source of above narcotic drugs.
A complaint regarding illegal possession of narcotic drugs was filed by PSI Shri. Vishwajit Dhavalikar of Calangute P.S. upon which PSI Shri. Prajit Mandrekar has registered the offence under provisions of NDPS Act 1985.
Further investigation is in progress under the Supervision of PI Shri. Paresh Naik of Calangute Police Station with overall Supervision of SDPO Porvorim, Shri Vishwesh Karpe and SP North, Shri Akshat Kaushal, IPS.
