Every member’s responsibility to maintain the sanctity of the House: Speaker
PORVORIM: Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar today said that it is every member’s responsibility to maintain the sanctity of the House.
“It is every member’s responsibility to maintain the sanctity of the House. What is there to admit even if it is a small mistake?” said Tawadkar.
Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar said that the resolution was rejected on the grounds that a similar resolution was already passed unanimously by the House a year ago.
Congress legislator and leader of the Opposition, Yuri Alemão, said it was the right of a member to submit a resolution and submitting a repeated resolution wasn’t against the rules.
