Demolition work of the old dilapidated structure located adjacent to the calangute market commenced on Friday
Calangute: After obtaining the order from the deputy collector calangute Panchayat commenced the process of demolishing the old dilapidated structure which was causing a danger to lives of the people
Calangute MLA Michael Lobo inspected an old dilapidated structure adjacent to the calangute market and had directed the authorities to demolish the old structure following which the panchayat wrote a letter to the deputy collector obtaining the permission to demolish the structure.
“It was the need of the hour that the demolition had to be carried out as there was every chance of parts of slabs giving way and tearing off from the main structure” said calangute MLA Michael lobo
“We are grateful to Calangute MLA for taking the initiative in getting all the approvals and let us go ahead with the demolition” said Calangute sarpanch Joseph sequeira
