Two tourists drowned while another rescued at Candolim beach
Calangute: Two tourists drowned while another rescued from drowning at Candolim beach. According to information, The victims, two women and one man, were tourists from Mumbai who had come to Goa for a holiday with family and friends. They had gone for a morning walk on the beach, unaware that a red alert had been declared due to high tides. The three were swept away by the waves and drowned. The Tourist Police Unit and lifeguard crew responded to the incident, and the victims were taken to Candolim Primary Health Centre (PHC) where two of them were declared dead on arrival. The third individual, a woman, has been admitted to the Goa Medical College (GMC) for further treatment.
