RESULTS OF STATE LEVEL PHOTO CONTEST-2024
The Department of Information & Publicity has announced the results of the Goa State Photo Contest and Exhibition Scheme – 2014. The competition featured two categories: “Unexplored Tourist Spot in Goa” and “Promoting Self Employment to Sustain Livelihood.”
In the first category, “Unexplored Tourist Spot in Goa,” the first prize was won by Shri Satyaki Gaonkar from Adcolna Banastarim. Shri Sohan Chodankar from Marcaim Ponda secured the second prize, while the third prize bagged by Shri Prathamesh Parmekar from Assnora. The winners of 5 Consolation prizes in this category are Shri Amrut Shet from Moira, Shri Sanjeev V Sardesai from Taliegao ,Shri Rajtilak Naik, President of Goa Union of Journalist and Senior Photographer attached to Times of India (Goa Edition), Shri Arunabh Bhattacharjee from Ponda, and Shri Omkar Gawde from Mardol respectively.
In the second category, “Promoting Self Employment to Sustain Livelihood,” the first prize was won by Shri Rohan Fernandes from Navelim Salcete. The second prize was won by Shri Satyaki Gaonkar from Adcolna Banastarim, and third prize by Shri Kailas Naik from Altinho Panjim. The five consolation prizes under the category were bagged by Shri Narayan Pissurlenkar, Photographer attached to The Goan Every day, Shri Saish Tari Narvekar from Bhatlem, Panjim, Shri Hemant Parab, Photographer attached to Navhind Times, Shri Omkar Gawde from Mardol, and Shri Atharv Ratnakar Salgaonkar from Advalpal Bicholim respectively. The prizes to the winners of the competition will be presented on the occasion of the National Press Day function to be held on November 16, 2024 in the city.
The competition was judged by a panel consisting of Shri Chandan D Naik Gaonkar, an eminent photographer, Shri Dildar Madgaonkar, a well-known photographer and Shri Silvestre Estibeiro, Official Photographer, Department of Information & Publicity.
