German Frigate “Baden-Württemberg” Arrives at Mormugao Port.
Panaji: The German Frigate “Baden-Württemberg” has arrived at Mormugao Port, marking a significant visit to India. Consul General of Germany in Mumbai, Mr. Achim Fabig, was received by Admiral H. Risch upon the frigate’s arrival.
This visit highlights the growing ties between India and Germany, building on a long history of cooperation. As Mr. Achim Fabig noted in a previous speech, Indo-German relations date back to when Indian students would travel to Berlin and other German cities to study engineering, technology, and academics ¹. The two nations have been strengthening their partnership in various areas, including renewable energy, sustainable development, urban development, and electric mobility.
The visit also underscores the importance of naval cooperation between the two countries. The German Frigate’s arrival demonstrates the commitment to enhancing maritime security and promoting peace in the region.
