Rolling Out the Red Carpet: IFFI 2024 Set to Dazzle in Goa.
Panaji: Principal Director General of the Press Information Bureau (PIB), Shri. Dhirendra Ojha, and Director General West Zone, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Ms. Smita Vats Sharma, engaged with the media in Panaji to discuss the upcoming International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2024. Scheduled from November 20th to 28th, 2024, this prestigious event promises to be a grand celebration of cinema.
The discussion highlighted several key initiatives for the media during IFFI, including opportunities for networking, exclusive interviews, and access to film screenings. Director, DIP, Shri. Dipak Bandekar, senior officials from Doordarshan and Akashvani, and representatives from major Goan print media houses participated in the interaction.
The 55th edition of IFFI will showcase some of the finest cinematic works from India and around the world. The festival will feature a diverse range of films, including feature films, non-feature films, and documentaries. Australia has been nominated as the “Country of Focus” for the festival, with seven Australian films set to be screened.
IFFI 2024 will also honor outstanding contributions to Indian cinema with the “Indian Film Personality of the Year” award. Additionally, the festival will present the “Satyajit Ray Lifetime Achievement Award” to a renowned film personality for their exemplary services and path-breaking cinematic work.
