Assembly Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar Lays Foundation Stone for Repair of 7 Culverts in Gaondongrim
Gaondongrim: In a significant move to enhance rural infrastructure and ensure safer travel, Goa Legislative Assembly Speaker Shri Ramesh Tawadkar laid the foundation stone for the urgent repair of seven culverts along the stretch from Gaondongrim High School to Monem Junction.
The initiative marks a vital step toward smoother and more secure commuting for the local villagers, addressing long-standing concerns about damaged culverts and the risks posed during monsoons.
The foundation stone laying ceremony witnessed the presence of several dignitaries including Shri Prabhakar Gaonkar, Shri Sarvesh Madkaikar, Smt. Pooja Naik Gaonkar, Shri Vinay Tubki, Shri Sidharth Desai, along with enthusiastic participation from the local community.
Speaking on the occasion, Speaker Tawadkar emphasized the government’s commitment to rural development and improving road safety. The repair of these culverts is expected to benefit hundreds of commuters and significantly enhance the daily lives of Gaondongrim residents.
Work is expected to commence shortly, with authorities assuring timely completion and quality construction.
