CM Pramod Sawant Flags Off Green EV Vehicles on World Environment Day
Sankhali : On the occasion of World Environment Day, Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant flagged off a fleet of Green Electric Vehicles (EVs) under a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative by Molbio Diagnostics. The project, executed in collaboration with the Sankhali Municipal Council, marks a significant step toward promoting sustainable urban mobility and reducing carbon emissions in the state.
The flag-off ceremony took place in the presence of Sankhali Municipal Council Chairperson Smt. Siddhi Parab, Vice Chairperson Shri Anand Kanekar, councilors, and several other dignitaries.
Congratulating the Sankhali Municipal Council for spearheading the initiative, the Chief Minister appreciated the efforts of Molbio Diagnostics for their valuable CSR contribution towards environmental conservation.
“This is a commendable and impactful step towards achieving our goal of Net Zero Carbon Emissions in Goa. The Government of Goa will continue to support and encourage such meaningful collaborations that benefit both the environment and the people,” said CM Sawant.
The launch of EV vehicles is expected to bolster green transportation infrastructure in Sankhali and inspire similar eco-friendly efforts across the state.
