Pharmacy Employee Booked for ₹12.5 Lakh Misappropriation in Valpoi
Valpoi : Valpoi Police have registered an FIR against Heena Gafar Khan, an employee of M/s Mediprime Chemist & Druggist, for allegedly misappropriating ₹12.5 lakh by manipulating sales records and diverting daily cash collections into her personal bank account.
According to the police, the alleged financial misappropriation took place between March 2024 and June 2025. The accused, who was entrusted with managing the pharmacy’s daily operations, is suspected of consistently rerouting the store’s earnings. The irregularities came to light when the owner noticed a substantial discrepancy between daily sales figures and actual bank deposits.
Following the discovery, the pharmacy owner filed a formal complaint at the Valpoi Police Station. An FIR has been registered, and the matter is being investigated by PSI Khushali Naik under the supervision of PI Viddesh Shirodkar.
Police sources have confirmed that the case involves manipulation of sales bills and unauthorized fund transfers. Further investigation is in progress.
