PM Modi Conferred Brazil’s Highest National Honour

Panaji : Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has been conferred with Brazil’s highest national honour The Grand Collar of the National Order of the Southern Cross by the President of Brazil, H.E. Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

The honour was presented in recognition of the Prime Minister’s contributions to strengthening the India-Brazil partnership. Prime Minister Modi expressed heartfelt gratitude to President Lula, the Brazilian government, and its people, calling the award a tribute to the 1.4 billion citizens of India and the deep-rooted friendship between the two nations.

He acknowledged President Lula as the architect of the India-Brazil Strategic Partnership and credited him for elevating bilateral ties. PM Modi emphasized that the award would further motivate the people of both countries to enhance mutual cooperation and friendship.

The conferment marks a significant milestone in India-Brazil relations and reflects growing global recognition of India’s leadership and international engagement.
