PM Modi Hails ‘Operation Sindoor’ as Nation’s ‘Vijay Utsav’
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday described Operation Sindoor as a “Vijay Utsav” (victory celebration) for the nation, lauding the Indian Armed Forces for their precision and strength. Speaking ahead of the Monsoon Session of Parliament, PM Modi urged lawmakers to unite in paying tribute to the operation’s success, which he said had achieved 100% of its objectives in just 22 minutes.
“This Monsoon Session is a ‘Vijay Utsav’. The world has witnessed India’s defence capabilities,” he said. Highlighting the operation’s reliance on ‘Made in India’ weaponry, the Prime Minister emphasized growing global interest in Indian defence systems and reiterated his commitment to self-reliance in defence manufacturing.
Modi expressed hope that Parliament would engage in meaningful discussion on Operation Sindoor, boosting national morale and job creation in the defence sector.
He also celebrated Indian astronaut Subhanshu Shukla’s historic moment aboard the International Space Station, where the Indian flag was unfurled for the first time. Additionally, the PM noted the positive monsoon progress, calling it vital for agriculture and rural growth.
