Authorities finally put up shield to protect retaining wall of the river Mandovi
days after certain sections of the press had brought to the notice of the concerned authorities about the dangers of the cracks formed in the retaining wall of the River Mandovi opposite Old Secretariat. The authorities have put up shield in the form of boards stopping pedestrians from crossing danger line.
It may be recalled that the Retaining wall of the River Mandovi opposite Adil Shah palace ( Old Secretariate) had formed cracks and was in need of urgent attention
Locals had urged the concerned authorities to immediately repair the walls as this spot is being used by the tourists everyday.
