STREET PROVIDENCE TRUST commemorated its 7th Anniversary dedicated to its mission of “ENDLING HUNGER & HOMELESSNESS”. 

The day commenced with a gathering of all 180 men and women residents from the 10 Shelter Homes at the Golden Orchid Hall, Severina Gardens, Mapusa.

We were honored by the presence of His Excellency, Bishop Theodore Mascarenhas, from Daltonganj, Jharkhand, a staunch supporter of STREET PROVIDENCE TRUST.

The event also welcomed distinguished guests such as Shri Guruprasad Pawaskar, State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, and Shri Anant S Pangam, Chief Inspector of Factories and Boilers, alongside representatives from companies in Verna Industrial, esteemed Community Partners like Udant and Vasco Muslim Social Trust and social activist Tara Kerkar and Rama Kankonkar

Sisters from Franciscan Missionaries of Christ the King and Society of the Sisters of Fatima, our partners in the shelter home program, graced us with their presence.

The occasion was also attended by our generous benefactors, dedicated volunteers, and the diligent staff of STREET PROVIDENCE.

In his address, Mr. Donald Fernandes, Founder Trustee, reflected on the remarkable milestones achieved by STREET PROVIDENCE in its seven-year journey, emphasizing the ongoing need to persevere in our mission of “Ending Hunger & Homelessness”.

His Excellency, Bishop Theodore Mascarenhas, echoed the importance of collective support towards the cause and praised the commendable work carried out by STREET PROVIDENCE TRUST.

The program’s highlights included poignant testimonies from three of our residents and a vibrant cultural presentation by both residents and caregivers.

Acknowledgments were extended through awards to all individuals and organizations who have generously supported STREET PROVIDENCE and FOOD BANK FOR THE POOR throughout this journey.

The event was gracefully hosted by Shri Bosco George, IPS (R), a devoted volunteer at STREET PROVIDENCE.

This significant celebration concluded with a heartwarming fellowship lunch, fostering a sense of unity among all attendees.
