Panaji, June 2024: Given the huge demand for flights to Jalgaon, the Goa-based airline FLY91 has decided to increase the number of flights between Goa and Jalgaon.
The regional airline has begun operating daily flights between Manohar International Airport (GOX) and Jalgaon(JLG) from the last week of May. The regional airline earlier operated four flights per week from its home base Goa (GOX).
“Easier and more efficient air connectivity has enabled business, leisure travelers, and students to access their respective destinations. This, coupled with rising interest in air travel in Tier II and Tier III enabled us to start daily flights to and from Jalgaon,” said Manoj Chacko, MD and CEO at FLY91.
FLY91 began operating flights between Goa and Jalgaon on April 18, 2024. The city is a gateway to the historic Ajanta and Ellora caves located a short drive away from Jalgaon airport. Snuggled in the northern part of Deccan Plateau, the district is known as the “Banana city” as it accounts for two thirds of the banana crop coming out of Maharashtra.
