Cabinet approved salary hike for Sarpanch, Dy Sarpanch & Panch member by Rs 2000: CM
Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant briefed media on Cabinet decisions at Porvorim. Besides chief minister also present were Tourism Minister, Shri. Rohan Khaunte
“Sarpanch to get 8,000, Dy Sarpanch 6,500, Panch ₹5,500. Financial implications of ₹2.63 cr annually,” said CM Sawant after chairing the cabinet village panchayats in the state. The last hike came in 2012 when the government increased the salaries of elected representatives of the village panchayats.
