Calangute Police Crack Down on Chain Snatching Incident.
Goa, October 23, 2024 – Calangute Police Station has successfully apprehended the accused in a chain snatching incident that occurred near Calangute Parking area. The complainant, Santosh Akki, reported the theft of his gold chain worth Rs. 1,50,000.
A vigilant police team, led by PSI Vighnesh Naik, arrested Rasib Mulla (22), a resident of Parra Canca, Goa, and native of West Bengal. During interrogation, Mulla confessed to the crime and revealed the location of the stolen chain, which was subsequently recovered.
The arrest was made under Section 35 BNSS, and further investigation is underway under the supervision of PI Paresh G Naik and SDPO Vishwesh Karpe.
