The 108 Ambulance Service Saves Lives with Swift Response to Pregnancy-Related Emergency
In a critical moment, the 108 Ambulance Service once again showcased its life-saving capabilities. Responding to a pregnancy-related emergency involving PV bleeding, the Curchorem ambulance team, led by EMT Ms. Sweta C. Gaonkar and pilot Mr. Pritesh Patkaro, arrived promptly to find the mother in the crowning stage of delivery.
With no time to waste, the team ensured the safe delivery of a baby girl. Immediate newborn care was provided, including suctioning, warming, drying, and an APGAR assessment. The mother was stabilized with Inj. Oxytocin before being safely transported to the PHC Quepem.
Thanks to the rapid and efficient response of the 108 Ambulance team, both mother and baby were safe. This timely intervention is a testament to the dedication and commitment of the Goa Model in emergency services, providing exceptional care to Goans in their time of need.
