Swayampurna Goa Programme Reaches Every Corner of the State

Panaji : The Government of Goa has intensified its mission towards achieving self-reliance and all-round human development through the Swayampurna Goa Programme. This flagship initiative aims to make the State self-sustainable by reaching out to diverse sections of society with focused welfare and development schemes.

As part of this programme, a series of public outreach initiatives such as ‘Prashasan Tumchya Dari’, ‘Sarkar Tumchya Dari’, along with various camps and webinars, are being conducted across Goa. These initiatives have witnessed active participation from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), women, divyangs, and youth, who are benefiting from a wide range of schemes and services.

Among the notable campaigns under the programme are the ‘Vision for All’, which provided eye check-ups to 2.37 lakh students from Std. I to X across all Government and Government-aided schools, and the ‘Bright Smiles, Bright Futures – Colgate Programme’, which promoted oral health awareness and covered 1.80 lakh children across 907 schools.

The government is facilitating access to more than 40 schemes and services through these drives. Key offerings include:

Smart Transit Cards

Senior Citizens Cards

Griha Aadhaar

Ladli Laxmi

Packers Registration Certificate

FSSAI Registration

Ayushman Bharat Health Accounts (ABHA)

Bima Sakhi Yojana

Learner’s Licenses

These schemes are being implemented in collaboration with multiple departments such as KTCL, Legal Metrology, FDA, Animal Husbandry, Transport, Social Welfare, Fisheries, Health Services, and Women and Child Development, among others.

The schedule for the outreach drives spans from May 19 to 31, 2025, and will cover over 150 villages, towns, and municipal areas across North and South Goa. Locations include Mapusa, Calangute, Saligao, Canacona, Margao, Sanguem, Ponda, Sanvordem, Dharbandora, Mormugao, and many more, ensuring that no citizen is left behind.

Through these grassroots initiatives, the Government reiterates its commitment to empowering citizens, enhancing service delivery, and ensuring that the benefits of development reach every corner of Goa.
