Goa Govt Signs MoU with IRIS Business Services to Strengthen MSME Sector

Panaji : The Government of Goa has taken a major step toward strengthening the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IRIS Business Services Ltd. The MoU was signed in the presence of Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, MLA & IDC Chairman Shri Aleixo Reginaldo, CEO of IRIS Business Services Shri S. Swaminathan, and other dignitaries.

Under this collaboration, IRIS Business Services Ltd will create and develop a state-of-the-art MSME Dashboard to help the Department of Industries, Trade & Commerce monitor and support MSMEs more effectively. The initiative also includes the development of e-bookkeeping services, e-invoicing solutions, an e-marketplace for MSMEs, and delivery solutions, among other digital tools. These services aim to enhance business operations, streamline financial management, and improve market access for small businesses in Goa.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant highlighted the government’s commitment to promoting entrepreneurship and digital transformation for MSMEs in the state. Shri Aleixo Reginaldo emphasized the importance of equipping small businesses with modern technological solutions to enhance their competitiveness.

CEO of IRIS Business Services, Shri S. Swaminathan, expressed confidence that the digital solutions provided under this partnership would significantly improve the ease of doing business for MSMEs in Goa.

This initiative is expected to play a crucial role in empowering MSMEs, driving economic growth, and creating new business opportunities in the state.
